We have extensive experience finishing slabs on grade and post-tensioned elevated slabs. We pride ourselves on our ability to pour large areas with acute floor levelness, quality finish, and laser-screed accuracy. The benefits of using post-tensioned slabs are far-reaching. A major benefit is the decreased thickness of post-tensioned slabs. By tensioning the slab after pouring, slabs can be constructed on expansive or soft ground without the drawbacks of traditional slabs on grade. Additionally, this method reduces or even eliminates shrinkage cracking, reducing the number of joints on the slab. In the case that cracks form, the tensioned cables hold them together to avoid negative effects. All of these benefits allow slabs to extend over longer stretches of elevated members, such as floors or support beams.
